People are exposed to new information and ideas at a terrific rate today. If we can’t let go of ideas and open ourselves to the radically new then we are soon left behind through an inability to understand and create.
This course is designed to train minds to let go of old thought patterns and open to diverse solutions, opinions and possibilities. It helps participants deal with change and actually become agents for positive change as well.
The powerful two-day seminar combines theory with practice in an adult learning environment creating a lasting transformative experience. Day one sets the context of a world in the midst of major change and introduces the theory of dealing with change and its importance if we are to adapt, survive and succeed.
We then apply the theory to case studies generated from the experiences of the delegates on the course.
Day two runs one week after day one, so that the commitments made at the end of day one are put into practice during the week and valuable time-based feedback can be analysed during day two. The delegates increasingly take the lead as the course progresses with the presenter coaching, commenting and facilitating discussion.
The objective is to introduce the actual experience of dealing with change during the course, not just a rational description of what change is. Delegates apply the theory to actual scenarios in their lives and assess the benefits of a five-step process in specially designed workbooks.
The five-steps in the process for dealing with change are:
- Identifying change and change drivers in your life
- Recognising your intellectual/emotional responses
- Practice of Letting go
- Re-thinking and re-feeling
- Taking fully conscious action in response to changes and change drivers
- Printed and Bound Course Manual and Workbook
